Applications may be posted by DAN electronic and third parties. When applications are posted by DAN electronic and the application links to this Privacy Statement, this Privacy Statement applies. When applications are posted by third parties, the privacy statement of the third party applies, and this Privacy Statement does not apply.
DAN electronic’s Sites may contain links to other Web sites. The information practices or the content of such other Web sites is governed by the privacy statements of such other Web sites. The Company encourages you to review the privacy statements of other Web sites to understand their information practices.
Collection methods and information stored
Information provided directly from you
We collect personal information from you when you interact with our Sites or use our Applications or Services. When you purchase our services, sign-up for a free trial, complete a profile, register with us, participate in surveys, register for an event, download a white paper, participate in a webcast, complete questionnaires or contests, contact us with questions or comments, request information, subscribe to a newsletter mailing list, provide us with feedback, or voluntarily post in blogs, chat rooms, forums or message boards available from the Sites, you may be actively sending us personally identifiable information about you and your company, such as your company name, contact name, title, e-mail address, postal address, and telephone number, username, password, language choice, time zone, as well as other related to your business information such as VAT number, number of employees, industry, and other personal information that you actively submit to us (collectively, the "Personal Information"). This type of information that we collect from you depends upon your interaction with our Sites, Applications, and Services. We do not collect any Personal Information from you when you use our Sites, Applications and Services unless you provide it voluntarily.
You can opt out of providing information by not entering it when asked and, if such information is required in order to allow us to respond to your inquiry, you will receive a notice advising you of this. In each such instance, you will know what data we collect through the site, because you actively submit it.
Information collected automatically through our Sites
As you navigate our Sites, we may automatically collect non-personal information, such as domain names, IP address (which may consist of a static or dynamic IP-address, and will sometimes point to a specific identifiable computer or device), device type, browser type, browser language, operating system, access times, referring web site addresses, date and time of visit, URL and page metadata, information such as crashes, system activity and hardware settings, information regarding your experience with our Sites, and other data (collectively, "Other Information").
This Other Information is used by DAN electronic for the operation and improvement of the Sites and to track Site trends and statistics.
Unless you also actively submit personal information such as your name or address, the Other Information does not typically allow us to identify you personally (even though it can theoretically be done, we do not have the means or an interest to find out who you are, unless you identify yourself voluntarily through an active submission of data). However, we reserve the right to combine passively tracked data with personal data that you actively submit.
Information collected through our Applications
We may collect information about your use of our Apps such as admin accounts created, FAQ topics read within the applications, and other related to the applications’ usage information recorded in our log files. We use this information to understand how you use our Apps, for service improvement, troubleshooting and as described in this Policy.
Information collected through Analytical Products
We also use the following analytical products to collect Other Information:
We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc., to evaluate your use of our Sites and Services, compile reports on activity, and provide other services relating to Internet usage. Google Analytics uses first-party cookies that store information, such as what time the current visit occurred, whether the visitor has been to the Sites before, and what site referred the visitor to the web page.
At times we may also implement Display Advertising Remarketing with Google Analytics to advertise online. This means that third-party vendors, including Google, may display our ads on sites across the Internet and that we and third-party vendors, including Google, use first-party cookies (such as the Google Analytics cookie) and third-party cookies (such as the DoubleClick cookie, see: http://www.google.com/doubleclick) together to inform, optimize, and serve ads based on your past visits to our Sites.
In order to help us improve your experience with our Sites, Services, and Applications, we use a proprietary InfoServ Analytics to monitor and identify trends, usage, and experience-related statistics. InfoServ Analytics may collect certain information during an Application download, during an Application installation or update, while you are using certain apps and/or Services, App demos, etc. Such information may include, without limitation, how often different features are used, how often different buttons and menu items are clicked, execution time for different operations, error reports, download location, software version, platform information, application usage, features usage, exception tracking, OS information, and Application and Services logs.
The information will be transmitted to and stored by DAN electronic and its service providers on its and their servers. The collection of this non-personally identifiable information will cease once your use of our Sites, Services, and Applications has ceased. However, the information collected may be retained, accessed, and used by DAN electronic as long as necessary for the purposes described herein.
Information collected from Third Parties
We may collect personal information about you from our third party affiliates or partner companies and from marketing or advertising companies that provide us with such information as part of their relationship with us. We may combine this with information that we already have collected about you.
Information posted by you on blogs, forums, chat rooms, message boards, RSS web feeds, etc.
We may collect personal information about you when you voluntarily post in blogs, RSS web feeds, chat rooms, forums or message boards (the "Forums") available from the Sites. All of the information that you post will be available to all visitors to the Forums. Any Personal Information or other content that you choose to submit in any forum on the Sites may be read, collected, or used by others who visit these forums, and may be used to send you unsolicited messages. DAN electronic is not responsible for the Personal Information or other content that you choose to submit in these forums and we cannot prevent such information from being used in a manner that may violate this Policy, the law or your personal privacy.
Any content or Personal Information you publish on the Forums may also appear in search engine results (such as Google, Yahoo!, Bing, etc.), in the cache of those search engines, in feeds, and on third-party sites pursuant to cobranding agreements. We have no control over updating and/or removal of such content or Personal Information, which is the sole responsibility of the search engines, third-party sites, and RSS web feed resources. You agree and acknowledge that DAN electronic is not liable for the information published in search results or by any third-party site that carries any content or Personal Information you publish on the Forums. We strongly discourage you posting any content or Personal Information that you do not want others to see or use.
We do not and cannot review all communications and materials posted to or created by users that visit the Forums or use the Services or Applications. You acknowledge that by providing you with the ability to post, view, and distribute communications, content, and Personal Information on the Forums, DAN electronic is merely acting as a passive conduit for such distribution and is not undertaking any obligation or liability related thereto. However, we reserve the right to block or remove communications, content, Personal Information, or other submissions to the Forums, for any reason, in our sole and absolute discretion.
InfoServ Users may electronically submit data or information via our Services and Applications for hosting and processing purposes ("User-Generated Content"). DAN electronic will not review, share, distribute, or reference any such User-Generated Content except as provided in our Master Subscription Agreement, or as may be required by law. In accordance with the Master Subscription Agreement, we may access User-Generated Content only for the purpose of providing the Services or preventing or addressing service or technical problems or as may be required by law.
Standing alone, cookies do not personally identify you; they merely recognize your Web browser. Unless you choose to identify yourself, either by responding to a promotional offer, opening an account, or filling out a Web form (such as a "Contact us" or "Free Trial" Web form), you remain anonymous to the Company.
Other Tracking Technologies: We may also collect usage and performance data through our Apps using various platform specific- tracking technologies applicable to the Apps.
If you do not want us to deploy cookies in your browser, you can opt out by setting your browser to reject cookies or to notify you when a web site tries to put a cookie in your browser software. Visitors to our Site who disable cookies can still access most areas of our Sites, however, your ability to use some of the features may be affected or certain features may not function.
Collection purpose and Data Usage
We use the information we collect to conduct our business and improve our Sites, Services, and Applications, to develop new products and services, provide information and support, to better understand your needs and interests, personalize communications and advertising, and generally promote a quality experience for you. For example, we may use your information, including your personal information, to:
Communicate, interact and build our relationship with you;

We do not sell, rent, or trade any information with third parties for their promotional and marketing purposes. We are not in the business of selling or renting your information to telemarketers and we do not share your information with others, except as defined in this Policy. We share and disclose your information as follows:
We may share information with trusted business partners, such as system integrators, distributors, and referral partners;
We may share your information with affiliated and unaffiliated service providers for the sole purpose of enabling them to provide services to us in connection with providing our Services to you;
We use and may share the Information to provide and improve our Sites, Services and Applications; deliver correspondence, communications, or services, such as newsletters, events, training, or software that you request or purchase; process orders; solicit your feedback; and inform you about our sites, services, and applications, and the products and services of our promotional partners;

We may analyze your Personal and Other Information in aggregate form which does not identify you personally. When posted by you or an authorized third-party, to our wikis, forums, blogs, message boards, chat rooms and other social networking environments or Sites;

We reserve the right to use or disclose information provided if required by law or if the Company reasonably believes that use or disclosure is necessary to protect the Company’s rights and/or to comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process.

We take commercially reasonable steps to protect your Information from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.
Our security policy is to immediately respond to any reports or allegations of security vulnerabilities or incidents by researching, analyzing, and delivering a quality update patch. All security reports are treated as the highest priority to attain resolution and eliminate any risk that our users could potentially experience.
We work hard to protect our users from unauthorized access to or unauthorized alteration, disclosure or destruction of information we hold. In particular:
We encrypt many of our services using proprietary encryption.
We offer you two step verification when you access our Applications.
We review our information collection, storage and processing practices, including physical security measures, to guard against unauthorized access to systems.
We restrict access to personal information to DAN electronic employees on a need-to-know basis mainly in connection with providing our Services to you, or troubleshooting problems and they are bound by confidentiality obligations.
The information you provide upon registration/purchase/free-trial sign up is also protected by a unique customer password and user ID ("Password and ID"). You should not disclose your Password and ID to anyone and you should always remember to log off if using a shared computer. You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your Password and ID, and for any use of your Password and ID, whether or not you have authorized such use.
DAN electronic uses third-party vendors and hosting partners, i.e., Microsoft Azure - North Europe Region, which according to Microsoft is located in Ireland (https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/regions/), to provide the infrastructure, hardware, software, networking, storage, and related technology required to operate and provide our Sites, Services, and Applications. Such third parties may be granted access to Your Applications and/or Content in connection with providing such services to DAN electronic. DAN electronic is not responsible for the services provided by such third-party vendors. In addition, You understand that the technical processing and transmission, including Your Content and/or Application(s), may be transferred unencrypted and involve: (a) transmissions over various networks; and (b) changes to conform and adapt to technical requirements of connecting networks or devices. You agree to abide by Microsoft Azure Acceptable Use Policy found at: http://www.microsoft.com/privacystatement/en-us/OnlineServices/Default.aspx and shall have no rights against Microsoft Azure in connection with the DAN electronic’s Applications and Services.
Please understand, however, that no security system is impenetrable and that transmissions over the Internet are never 100% secure or error-free. We cannot guarantee security, or that the information you supply will not be intercepted while being transmitted to and from us over the Internet. Therefore, you acknowledge and agree that we assume no liability regarding the theft, loss, alteration, or misuse of Information, including, without limitation, such Information that has been provided to third parties or other users, or with regards to the failure of a third party to abide by the agreement between us and such third party.
DAN electronic recognizes the privacy interests of children and we encourage parents and guardians to take an active role in their children's online activities and interests. Our Sites, Services, and Applications are not intended for children under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 18.
